What is Strömstad Academy?

Strömstad Academy strives to ensure that the rich knowledge and experience of senior researchers will benefit the Swedish society. We offer a platform for continued research and education activities, characterized by independent and interdisciplinary thinking. We currently have 43 professors, 23 associate professors, 14 other PhD holders and 8 honorary professors from around 80 subject areas and 11 countries as members. Among our members are three Nobel laureates and our first Swedish astronaut.

Strömstad Academy is an interdisciplinary academy. We study phenomena in our lives from multiple perspectives and provide a more complete picture than traditional subject studies.

In the picture to the right, Vice-Chancellor Per Flensburg installs the former chairman of Strömstad City Council, Sven Moosberg, as an honorary member of the Academy.
